A tough stay
The upstairs AC wasn’t working well when we checked in. The host claimed it was weather related; however, upon inspection by 2 different HVAC companies they elected to replace the unit. This tells me something was really wrong. We slept downstairs for the first 3 nights of our stay while the repairs were made. The host genuinely tried to help things along quickly. He even offered us to move to another location. We were gone all day for baseball and were too tired to move then and the repairs had been made anyway. Unfortunately when they finally finished at 11:30PM, the entire upstairs was covered in insulation. Again we couldn’t use the upstairs. The final straw was when the new AC was leaking condensation through the upstairs ceiling onto the stairs. Then we had to leave due to the obvious safety issue but suddenly the offer to move was rescinded. At least he refunded the rest of our unused nights…but NO compensation was made for the inconvenience (to put it mildly). Repeated attempts by VRBO to work with the owner were met with no compromise. Finally, please note that no guests or visitors are allowed on property.
