This house is clean and had plenty of room for our large family. The main issue we had was getting into the house. When we arrived, the keypad would not work. I was able to call a toll free number for assistance to get the code for the lockbox. However, it took about ten minutes to get the correct code. Those considering this house should know that the neighborhood is older and and run down. Had we arrived after dark, the check-in process would have been a bit more dire. In addition, the lights for the backyard took a minute to figure out. The light switch next to the bed turns on the porch lights and the wifi for the house. A note mentioning that would have been helpful.

The house is very nicely renovated, but you can tell it's an older home. The pictures definitely are very forgiving. Our biggest issue was the neighborhood. This is not somewhere I would stay with young children. The surrounding houses were very rough with at least 2 homeless men walking around, stray dogs and cats etc. I would not call this a family friendly location. The host was great and very responsive and the house was clean, but for the price we were not wowed.

Alamo/Riverwalk visit

This was my mother in law’s first time visiting the Alamo, Riverwalk, and staying anywhere other than a hotel. The house is very close to Alamo and the Riverwalk and we loved the patio area and the grill!! It was ver cozy and felt like home away from home. If we ever visit San Antonio area again, I will definitely book this home again!! The beds were comfy, the entire house was very clean with all the needed amenities!! Friendly and attentive host that accommodated my family’s needs and communicated throughout our stay. I highly recommend booking this home for your visit to San Antonio!!

Cozy place, near the Riverwalk area

We rented this house so that we don't have to drive too far to go to the Riverwalk. During the day we went to Six Flags, and came back to the house to enjoy the hot tub and relax before going to dinner to the Riverwalk. The hosts are good communicators and attentive.

Location - Not As Advertised

After arriving at the house, it quickly set in that the neighborhood is in fact not located in a peaceful up and coming area as the listing shows. We unloaded to give it a chance but decided to leave for a hotel after having strangers walking shirtless around the house on the sidewalk/street and another searching through the trash can. My family and I didnt feel safe staying in the house. The house is in excellent condition and would be a good set up if it was in a different location. After trying for weeks to request and communicate with both the property management team and VRBO directly, a requested one night refund doesn’t appear that it will be provided. I am very disappointed in the booking and overall expected experience with those involved.

Book at your own risk

The house was dirty throughout like it hadn’t been wiped down in a while. The hot tub had entirely too much chlorine that my daughter and I smelled like chlorine all day even after showering (we also developed an itchy rash from hot tub). The front bathroom didn’t have hot water so some of us took cold showers and when asked just for washcloths and about a light issue it took more than 24hrs to receive message since no reply was given before we went to sleep. There was multiple trash cans blocking the drive and trash (beer cans and water bottles) spread all over yard when we arrived.

Renovated house close to downtown San Antonio

Overall this vacation rental is a good place to stay if you plan on visiting Downtown San Antonio, The Riverwalk, The Alamo, The Tower of the Americas, etc.. Getting around town from this location was super easy and it only takes about 5 minutes to Uber downtown. It is on the East side of town, which many people mentioned to us that it’s going through a gentrification phase right now. There’s a lot of older homes mixed in with the new ones so the neighborhood looks a little sketchy because of this but we didn’t run into any issues and it was pretty quite and laid back.

Great place

The house is located near downtown having quick access to San Antonio’s best attractions; such as the Riverwalk and Stratosphere. We had no problems with the neighborhood. It was a Friday night and neighborhood was silent. Loved the coziness inside the house, living room and kitchen area were also great. We had a great talk in the backyard too enjoying the jacuzzi and the atmosphere.

Such a lovely home and stay! Definitely recommend.

The property was beautiful just like the pictures. I was very pleased with the space and especially the cleanliness and size of it. It was very close to the Alamodome and to all the places we visited while we were in town. There was a little issue with the hot tub, for some reason the breaker kept tripping and all the lights on the patio would go out until we reset the breaker. it happened several times, so we just unplugged the hot tub to be able to enjoy for a little bit. There was also a very high level of chlorine in the hot tub so be sure to take your jewelry off before entering. The only other very small issues were there being no lock or latch on the master bath and there was no sugar for the coffee. Other than that, it was such a lovely home and getaway. I would definitely recommend.

Great location!

The location of this property was perfect as we had a toddler and an infant, so we wanted to be close to all the action. The river walk is a short drive, and the zoo and Fiesta Texas weren’t too far away either. We took advantage of the hot tub in the evenings after long days out and about. The AC didn’t work when we arrived but it was probably one of the first warm weeks of the year, and the owner responded quickly and had an AC tech out to the property to fix the AC as soon as possible. Once it was fixed, it worked like a charm, so we all slept comfortably. The beds were very comfortable, no complaints there. There were some neighborhood chickens and roosters that roamed around. The roosters weren’t much of a bother in the mornings as they didn’t really crow. And if they did, each of the bedrooms had box fans that we would turn on to drown out the noise. Overall, it was a great stay for our family!

San Antonio Stop

Daniels house was perfect for our stay in San Antonio. It was myself and my 4 teenagers. The house was nicely remodeled and very clean. Plenty of space and beds for everyone. We loved the hot tub every night. It was nice having a kitchen to cook in also. Daniel was responsive and checked in on messaging often to make sure we were good. The neighborhood is indeed transitional, but everyone around was friendly and we felt perfectly safe. If you need an affordable house near downtown I highly recommend staying here.

Quick Stay

We just use the home for one evening. We were a group of girls and it’s unfortunate that there was no access to the backyard from the house. We had to go out in the front yard in order to get to hot tub and the neighborhood is a little shady at night. The house itself was clean and nicely remodeled. It had everything we needed for the evening.

Women Of Joy Ladies

The house was a great place for us ladies to stay during the conference since it was so close to downtown. We were a little worried about the neighborhood when we arrived but it appeared to have a lot of families with children and we never had any problems.
