I am giving three stars and not four or higher, due to two issues. First, the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was very old and worn out; coupled with cheap bedding, made for poor rest and stiff backs. A comfortable bed makes a significant difference in a property. An otherwise good property, like this one, falls by at least a star, and an otherwise mediocre/bad property is elevated by at least a star when your guests are content with the bed. The bed is the spot where guests spend the bulk of their time during the stay after all. Second and much less of an issue, the noise from upstairs. Since other reviews mention the noise, we were prepared for it, but 7:00 AM is still a bit early to be woken up. There was an issue with a dying battery in a smoke alarm that kept chirping, but it was resolved a few hours after I gave notice, and while we were out. Overall, I would still recommend this property given all the positives. Just spend some money on upgrading the mattress and bedding.
