I wish we would have known about the poplar fluff blowing around- we were not really able to sit outside or enjoy the yard as it was overwhelming. The first night the neighbours were cutting down trees and mulching them so that was a bit disappointing but it stopped before 9pm. Other than that, everything was good.

This rental, was above and beyond our expectations!Meticulously clean, fully stocked, anything and everything one would need.The property was stunning, with both indoor and outdoor fireplace, steps from the lake.Our family especially loved the swings.We were greeted by not only beautiful birds, bunnies and squirrels but graceful deer each morning.We definitely recommend this to all as we will definitely be back!!

This was our 4th time staying at this property, and as always it was amazing! Such a beautiful, quiet and clean place! And riding on the lake was a great first experience! The goat is always quick to respond if you need, and the fire pit area is perfect! Love the added bonus of the provided wood!! Thank you!!

The place was exactly what is shown in the pictures. We saw deer everyday and it was super quiet. There is a little community there but we stayed in February so there were not a lot of people around. It was super cold outside for a couple of nights but the geo-thermal heating kept the inside nice and warm, especially on our feet. We are looking at staying here again in the summer to see how the community is.

As soon as we entered this cottage, we felt at home. No detail was overlooked, and it was inviting, comfortable, and equipped with everything one may require during a short stay. The location is beautiful and serene, and we even saw a few deer. The property is very clean, organized, and spacious. The host was extremely responsive and made sure to communicate all details effectively. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Wanted a couple days of peace away from the city, November was a good time - place would be alot busier/nosier in the summer. Kids kept docking stars for lightbulbs being burnt out. They had firewood but recommended we bring our own (so brought some which took up trunk space) or buy some locally. Would have been nice to have the wood included. Over all nice place, not as much nature as we would have liked but not the owners fault.

This property is gem! Great property with a beautiful yard. The access to the dock with kayaks, canoe and paddle board make it a great retreat. Definitely recommend. Host provided lots of information and was very punctual with replies. Little bit hot upstairs with no AC, but manageable. Would rerturn for sure.

We had an amazing stay at this Silver Sands Vrbo! We were celebrating some milestones with just our little family and this house was ideal! The location was perfect - a short walk to the lake which was so nice. The house itself was spotless, well-equipped, and incredibly cozy. It truly felt like a home away from home. The property manager was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic vacation. We can't wait to return! Highly recommend!

The property was great; the cabin was beautiful and very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils, linens etc. when we arrived. Communication with the host was excellent - super quick and helpful. I would definitely choose this property again.

Green-blue algae had been taking over the lake prior to our arrival. We had to ask the host as we were not given any updates. Host said “that’s Alberta lakes for you”. Like we are supposed to know this. This should have been disclosed prior to us driving all the way there. The main reason we booked this cottage was to enjoy the lake with our dogs. This should also be a warning on the booking advert. The bottom of the BBQ caught on fire. Was told it was cleaned a few days prior. Literally an inch of gunk and grease at the bottom. Host told me to let it burn off. Many dishes were greasy and needed to be washed before use. Chairs around fire pit were coated in spider webs. Had to wash down all of the chairs in order to sit around the fire. Not to mention half the chairs had sap on them which wrecked some of our clothing. As previous commenters mentioned, the property needs some minor repairs and a half dozen light bulbs replaced. All in all very disappointing vacation. We left a day early as there was nothing to do in the area and constantly driving defeats the purpose. Especially when all the other lakes in the area were also affected.

Our family (5) enjoyed our 2nd time here! The dock was handy to tie our boat during the week. There were kayaks and a canoe available for our enjoyment. The cottage has all the comforts of home. It rained one day and it was nice to be able to watch TV and relax indoors. Our stay was very peaceful and rejuvenating.

If you’re looking for a getaway that doesn’t need multiple pee/coffee/fuel stops so you can relax in nature this spot is for you! Well appointed kitchen, cozy living with everything (including yard games). Nice and close to the lake (can even see it from bed)….Close to golf, and a nice quiet yard! We will definitely be back! Loved it!

Even with the rainy days and windy days, we enjoyed our quiet little getaway at Silver Sands. We enjoyed walks, standing on the dock and watching the water, reading books and eating. Don’t expect close by, fancy restaurants if that’s what you’re looking for. But a quiet neighborhood is what you’ll find. Loved it!

Cozy house in a quiet lakeside community with ample forest surrounding and lovely trails for walking. The lake is one row of houses away and was frozen during our stay but still beautiful to see in the near distance. Interior of home was clean and fully functioning. Open kitchen with everything one needs to cook and clean up after ones self. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated the clear communication with the host. Thank you!
