“Beautiful building and property. Spacious rooms with decent wifi, fridge, fan and comfortable chairs and bed. Good restaurant in the building too. Enjoyed the critters in the yard: cats, peacocks, Guinea hens, chickens, geese, and scrunchy faced pigs. Would have loved to have stayed longer. ”

“Great hotel if cycling C2C, as they serve breakfast from 4am. Cycles allowed in rooms too. Very clean, although my bathroom was very small and fitted with a movement light, which meant it going dark whilst in the shower”

“Great variety of hot, cooked-to-order breakfasts as well as wide range of continental items, all of which were great quality. We were also offered tea or fresh coffee and fresh juice that was brought to the table, along with toast. Room was comfortable and cosy. We had a balcony room overlooking Ambleside high street.
