Nice stay but needs some upkeep

We ended up staying in 2 different condos because our family is large. The condo my husband and I stayed in was much nicer than the other we got at the same place. Our bedroom and master bath and closet were out of this world!!! Our bed was very comfortable but was 3.5’ off the ground. Was a tad hard to climb up in it! The bedroom with the double beds had one bed with broken slats the other bed in that room was fine. The last bedroom the bed was 12” off the ground. We had some problems though. We did end up not having AC on and off for 4 of our 7 day stay. Really got uncomfortable a couple evenings. And the jetted tub didn’t work. That made me sad. The other condo the stove never got hot enough to cook, diced potatoes. So we had to make Thanksgiving dinner for all of us in 1 stove. I’d like to try to go back but not in November. I guess the weather isn’t warm enough to get the pool about 40* The staff were all wonderful.

Perfect spot

We stay at the sapphire every summer and loved this trip just the same. First time in this unit, but it was beautiful and plenty roomy for 4 adults and 2 children.

Sapphire stay

Views were disappointing from beach side. Wasn’t expecting a roof view of pearl condos and patio was small. One wine glass and no baking pans at all. I had to cook enchiladas on top of stove. Bay patio was lovely though, really enjoyed stay overall.

Fall vacation

Well kept property, staff very friendly. Security always present and friendly. Unit it’s self needs repairs on the beach side windows. All roller shades not working. Unit also needs a deep clean before a week long guest, dust in spare room furniture and children’s finger prints on windows and kitchen appliances .

Fabulous property even in crazy circumstances!

This condo was just what we needed. The views were phenomenal - could catch the sunrise, sunset and fireworks. It had all the conveniences we could have asked for. Sapphire mgt unfortunately chose to close the pool over Labor Day weekend when we were there, but we were still able to go to the beach and have a great time. We will definitely consider SPI and specifically Sapphire 1801 for another trip in the future.

Booking online was quick and easy. We had an issue with the Airconditioning in our unit. The la Copa property managers acted quickly to fix the problem.

Condo service from front desk was poor!

Check in was poor. Maintenance people came in without our knowledge for a request we didn’t not request and all our valuables were left out. Only reason we know was because one of our child happened to walk in on them. And when I notified front desk they couldn’t explain why for the poor communication and reason. Water pressure in all showers were low , more like drops at any given time. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 18th floor. Very disappointed.

Beautiful condo sans the view

The condo was beautiful and perfect for parents with adult children visiting. The pool was crystal clean and the cabanas were nice to have. Really, the only irritating thing , and it was really irritating, was that the photos don't show The Pearl Rooftop is your immediate view and the rooftop systems block the sound of the waves. I wouldn't have rented the property had I seen the rooftop in the pictures.

We had never been to South Padre Island and we are so glad we went. The beach was awesome. The property was perfect! The pool was amazing and the condo was pristine. I have nothing negative to say! We will definitely be back!
