Host, reservation, communications, checkin/out all excellent. Pleasant and efficient. House experience was exceptional in all respects. Very clean and super well organized. Extras of EVERYTHING - towels, silverware, pots and pans, sharp knives and cooking utensils, countless extras like crock pot, multiple coffee machines, air fryer. Loved the heated slate entryway, fireplace, colorful mosaic tile bathrooms, game room with pool table, hot tub.... Living area spacious but all warm and cozy. Everything in excellent shape. Best built, maintained, and provisioned rental home I have ever had - by far.

Location was great but the house needs to maintenance. Shades that couldn't be opened, one bedroom didn't have any curtains on the sliding glass door leading to the deck. Bathrooms need to be updated and lighting was poor in the rooms.

Incredible Patio and Views!

Our experience was very enjoyable while staying at this property. Plenty of room for six people. The living room is large enough for everyone to have their own space. Kitchen is well equipped, two toasters, multiple ways to make coffee, plenty of dishes and cooking pans, etc. We especially like the expansive deck with plenty of seating for dinner, and for just hanging out. We even saw a bear one night, s/he sauntered by without giving us a thought. we felt safe with the exterior bear mats and window wires. It was one of the highlights of our trip! The only thing I’d add is for people who like to sleep in a dark setting, the upper windows in some bedrooms don’t have shades, but that would not deter us from renting from this property again. It is a fabulous house!

Best deck in Tahoe!

We stayed at the Idlewood cabin in mid-July with 8 family members and teenagers and we all absolutely loved it. The cabin is beautiful inside and out, spotlessly clean, and well-stocked from the kitchen to the linens. There were plenty of bedrooms with comfy beds and the game room was a big hit with both the teens and the adults. But the star of the show was the HUGE deck with a beautiful view of the lake... we spent many mornings and evenings out there and you had to think twice about leaving it for the beach! The cabin is in a great location with Kings Beach just down the road and Tahoe City not far away. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, just up the hill from the lake. Property managers were great, easy directions and instructions for the cabin. We'd definitely stay there again.

Excellent location and perfect for families

We had a fantastic week long vacation with extended family. The house has a view of the lake and mountains from multiple rooms and decks. It’s in a great spot on the north shore; close to restaurants and Safeway. Was well maintained and clean. However, be prepared to wake up with the sun unless you have a sleep mask. Most bedrooms lack adequate blinds or curtains. One with glass doors that opened to the main deck and hot tub had no window coverings at all. Great for semi-obstructed views and natural light but bad for sleeping past 5:00 in the summer. Other than that, a great stay.

Perfect for multi-family getaway

This was the perfect winter getaway home for our multi-family group with kids. Property was clean, well-stocked, nicely decorated, and cozy and comfortable. Everyone had their own rooms and each family had their own full bathroom. Kids were able to enjoy the loft away from the adults with all the games to keep them busy and everyone loved hanging out together, cooking, and playing board games together in the main area with the beautiful lake views! Lots to do in the area and location is awesome - close to resorts, shopping, and walking distance to local sledding hill. Communication with Holly was great and when we needed to extend our stay for an additional night due to weather and road conditions, it was a quick and easy process. Highly recommend this property - we'd love to return again!

Family vacation

We rented this house for our annual family vacation and were not disappointed. It was large enough to accommodate our family of 9 comfortably with a dining room table that fit us all at meal time. The views were as advertised and after spending a day in South Lake Tahoe, we were very pleased with being in nice quiet Tahoe Vista. Grocery store was right down the street as was a local coffee shop, Java Hut, that made their own croissants. We took a boat ride from Rent a Boat Tahoe for a beautiful, but chilly view of the lake. We weren’t, unfortunately, able to utilize the deck for meals due to cold mornings, and we did have snow flurries during our stay, but the time spent with family was wonderful. The game room was a bit hit with the kids and we had our first family foosball tournament! The only drawbacks I have with the property, and clearly they did not affect my rating, was the downstairs bedroom needs blinds on the doors to block the morning sun. While the view is beautiful, would be nice not to wake up quite so early on vacation. Secondly, because we arrived at dusk, we had a issue finding the house. There is a sign hanging over the front door with the name, which would have been most helpful in locating the home, had we known. The house numbers over the garage were not obvious at night. We would most definitely rent this home again.

Family weekend

We absolutely loved staying at this property! It was very clean! The beds are very comfortable. We liked that the bedrooms are on the first and second floor and the game room is on the third floor. The deck, bbq grill and hot tub were great and the views were awesome! It’s very easy to get to. Check in and check out were simple and convenient. We will definitely stay here again!

Very Nice, but hot tub experience fell short

Hot tub didn’t heat up. Someone finally came by to fix it by the final night of our stay. The property is amazing though. Would stay there again.
