“This was our first time staying at an independent hotel and we were welcomed by a polite staff member. However, the conditions of the room and amenities of it could’ve been better such as the shower, the floor and walls. The shower was mouldy, the floor was very squeaky for both our room and neighbours making the noise doubled and the walls had no purpose whatsoever as they were so thin , hearing neighbours frequently. Our breakfast on the last morning wasn’t served to us and we got told to go...

“Lovely clean room. Friendly, helpful staff.
Great breakfasts.
Lovely food in restaurant.
No TV service due to recent storms.
This was not the fault of the hotel and they did provide a working TV in the comfortable lounge.
Overall, a great 4 night stay. We will return.”

However, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing, particularly the carpet, which was covered in stains. This gave the room a tired and poorly maintained appearance and certainly detracted from the overall experience.
Another disappointment was the lack...

“The hotel had a beautiful view! We had the room with the larger windows looking directly at the mountains.
The staff was super helpful, we had to take extra twenty minutes to check out and they were very helpful about that.
The food was lovely. And parking was ample as well!”

“Location was perfect right in the centre of historic Hawkshead ask about car parking at the primary school.
On Suite was very small, the vanity didn’t drain properly, the sensor light is a pain when you don’t want to wake-up your partner at night!

“Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean.”
