“This was a beautiful property. Everything was clean, updated, and easy to find. The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay here again!!”

“One of the iconic hotels in all of Japan. If you’re in Japan and want to explore the Hakone area, you have to stay here. The service is impeccable, the hotel has 140+ years of history, and the dining choices are superb. Well worth the stay. And did I mention the staff? They welcomed me back (I had stayed years before) as if I were an honored guest. That little item made my day. I will return someday.”

“The stay at Couscous was absolutely spot on! Beautiful glamping resort in the quiet town of Manazuru. It has good connection links to the main station if odawara. Perfect for exploring the Hakone region of Japan. The tents were very well equipt with fans, heating, usb's. Outside there was incredible decking areas with BBQs, and a large table and chairs. The site itself was extremely clean and the toilet and shower areas were always spotless and very modern. Overall I would 100% recommend this...
