conveniently located

Hotel is somewhat old and worn down (but what do you expect in a Days-Inn). Location is good: walking distance from downtown and Time Warner Cable Arena.

"Great room for the money"

This particular Days Inn was not the best in the world, but it was great for the location and the price!!! I will stay again! Did not have many probelms besides the bathroom door not closing all of the way and the extension on the wall hanging out! I was able to walk to the time warner arena though!

Aweful

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We were in town for a concert and booked this blind. Where do I start? The walls were dirty, the room stunk, the door didn't shut correctly, we were out of hot water after only a couple of minutes, there were what looked like cabinet doors glued in above the door to the room, and the toilet didn't flush right. We were in a rush to get to the concert, so when we talked about finding another room, we decided we did not have time. After the concert, we returned to our room only to find the door wouldn't open. I took the key to the front desk where they reprogrammed it, the door still wouldn't open. The employee on duty came up to try to open the door (he was very courteous....the only positive I can mention). He could not open it. We were cold from standing outside so he opened up the room next to us for us to wait in, but the smell of cat urine was so strong that no one could stay in the room so we went back outside . There was also a substance that looked like blood on the ceiling tiles. The employee was finally able to open the door but told us that the door had a short and could not be opened with a card. We would have to have someone from the front desk let us into our room. At this point, it was late so we didn't look for another hotel and we sure weren't going to request another room at that hotel because of what we had seen next door. Did I mention we were only allowed to borrow an iron from the front desk for a short period of time because we were told that there were only 6 irons for the entire hotel. We also had to pay for parking at the hotel.

Quick Trip

Nice place to stay if you are in for quick trip. Its centrally located downtown. I was in and out in less the 24 hours. Staff was pleasant and room was clean.

Take it from me, spend the extra 20 dollars or so and stay else where.

Days Inn/Horrible Nights

Bathroom was atrocious. Ceiling was bubbled and collapsing in some parts. Room smelled of roach spray. Panhandlers and thugs walking the streets. Hotel charges guests $6 a night to park and do not provide a full sized iron board/iron. Noisy outside of rooms. Not enough towels ... poor quality. In comparison to other Days Inn I have stayed, this one is an 'F"

Good spot for the money, great customer service.

This hotel is right in the downtown Charlotte area, convenient. Great guest service. Cozy, shower was tiny. But overall pretty satisfied for the money. Close to the Uptown Amphitheater.

Pretty good for price

The hotel was pretty good for the price we paid the only thing was the pool was not very big and the air took awhile to cool off when we first got there. I am not sure if there was supposed to be anyone to bring extra linens to us or not but we never got any.

A little scary

If I was alone or with young children this would not be a good place. Two blocks from the 'beginnings' of uptown with numerous down on their luck people. The hotel rents space in their parking lot on a monthly basis to local work force. hmmm.

Can't beat the price but kinda sketchy

If your a guy with a couple of your guy friends and want to stay in downtown Charlotte on the cheap this is the way to go. It's only 1/4 mile walk to just about everything downtown has to offer, which is a lot of fun. However I would not even feel safe as a single male walking back to this place at 2 in the morning, if your with a couple other guys it's not that bad. If you want a place to stay with your girl, or are planning on bringing kids/family I would recommend somewhere else.

Needs improving

Whatever you do don't go to this hotel. The staff is not friendly at all. Yes, it is in a great location. But paying a few extra dollars is worth it. The hotel room was dirty. There was mold on the ceiling. The furniture was very old and the bed was not comfortable.

Worst stay ever

I was very disatisfied with hotel in general The bathroom had animal chewing on the paper roll wall paper was pealing up mold under the paper mold around the bath tub ( in Corners) very uncomfortable did not shower The electrical plugs were very unsafe and dangerous I was charged extra 6.00 dollars to park in their parking lot parking lot was in serious disrepair this was one of the worst places that I have ever spent money to stay in

Reassessment of Site for Company

Upon arrival, I was informed there was an additional parking charge which was not discussed at time of booking with Hotel.com. Honestly, I have booked with your company in the past and was surprised to see the quality of hotel at this site having had no problems in the past with my bookings. This hotel needs to be reassessed as one of your booking hotels as it does not reflect well upon your reputation. The room had seen some better days, I think it had significant water damage at some time and walls had a buckling appearance. The bathroom fixtures are well past replacement schedule. Housekeeping looks to be superficial at best, lots of accumulated dust around bed frame, etc. Yes, the price was right but I put a chair up against the door and turned the fan up high to mask the musky smell. I stayed out late to only have to sleep in the room and get right out in the morning.

Great for the price and location

Though the hotel is older and the quality of the room is mediocre, you can't beat the price considering the location. Right in the heart of uptown Charlotte. The front desk staff was very helpful in providing directions and hospitality. I'd stay there again. Only down side is the $6.00 per day parking.
