The home was beautifully designed, southern coastal charm at its best. Owner was helpful and quick to respond to communication. We enjoyed our stay.

Rats in the kitchen. HVAC system is underpowered. Urine stains on the mattresses. Multiple fans and ceiling lights do not work. Unresponsive and dismissive owner and management company (Sigsbee Homes). Keep shopping, because you will be disappointed with this property and this management company. Photos show food eaten by rats and feces in the kitchen and urine stained mattresses.

Dream with God Retreat

This is our second stay at this property! I host an annual vision board retreat for my clients. The setting and the house is excellent for quiet time and listening for God's plans for the coming year.

Almost great…

The house layout works well for two couples and is in a pretty neighborhood w/ lots of trees and places for long walks. The furniture and the mattresses are comfortable.There are very good televisions throughout. After our stay, I wrote the management company with comments for the owner but never received a reply.The kitchen is under equipped, lacking cookware and utensils, flatware, and dishes except for plates. The linens are basic quality and towels are tired and minimal. If these details were improved, the house would be great.The hammocks and rockers are a thoughtful addition, especially for warm weather. Those things indicate to me that the owners want people to enjoy their stays.

Loved the split levels for multiple families

Me and my kids, my sister and her kids, plus my mom stayed. We all had plenty of room and were able to spread out. The bedrooms were a great size. Quiet little neighborhood. We really enjoyed this house. The downstairs was easier on my mom to get in and out of. We would definitely return!

Beautiful pet-friendly house and great location!

This house was beautiful and the location was great! We loved all the fun board games that were provided and they came in handy since it rained for half of our stay on Dauphin Island. The layout of the house was perfect and the furniture comfortable - lots of space to spread out and relax! The only issues we had were the oven was not cleaned and smoked quite a bit when we tried to use it, the fridge upstairs was not working for the first day of our stay but a repair man was eventually sent out to look at it, and the wood on one of the hammocks out back had rotted and broke when one of children was in it (didn't get hurt luckily!). Because the house itself was so nicely decorated and stocked, and the location convenient to the beaches and other attractions on the island, we would stay here again through and would recommend it to our friends.

Great getaway

House was in a great location. Easy drive to the beach near the Fort. We loved front porch sitting and the layout of the house. Perfect for our two families with kids ranging from 2-15! Would highly recommend.

Disappointing

Who is so excited to stay here in a pot arrival was very disappointed. Furniture outback is falling apart garbage all in the yard open the doors to get in or we could smell was vomit scared to say because we thought the people there before us have been sick or wiped everything down with alcohol and then sprayed it with Lysol couldn’t figure out where the smell of vomit was coming from the place was completely filthy. The cleaning crew is obviously not doing their job. We finally figured out where the smell is coming from and it was the sheets bathrooms are filthy refrigerator was dirty behind on doors, and under the bed or hair balls of hair. I should say the girls are not cleaning like I said we will definitely not say that again, as my title said, very disappointing.

super quiet and relaxing

if your looking for a place to get away, slow down from the hustle and bustle, and relax this is the perfect place for you. although not directly on the water, it is a short drive to anywhere on the island. i was let down that you had to pay $10 a day to go to all the public beaches and the water wasn’t crystal clear…but the house was magnificent. we loved it. it was spacious and beautiful. we did get our workout climbing up the steps a lot but it was good for us! the owners were so helpful anytime we needed anything! we would definitely stay there again!

Vacation

The house was beautiful. We loved our stay and exploring Dauphin Island. We enjoyed morning walks with our dog around the neighborhood. The beaches are great. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

The beach house is adorable

Perfect location super easy to get to all 3 beaches. We had so much fun. Love the outside shower for kids after the beach. The hammocks are awesome. Beds are comfy. Dryer is super high for us short people but worked great. House was super comfy for 4 adults and 6 kids with beds left over. Loved it.

Poor management

The place itself is pretty nice and it’s a good location but management was not great. The floors were dirty and sheets questionable. Some lights didn’t work and there were a some holes where hooks are. These aspects soured our initial experience especially when we booked during a high priced week.

Waiting for a delayed closing on our home

This house is perfect for any size family. I have an adult disabled vet that can't make the stairs and he needs to have his own spot. So the downstairs with a mini kitchenette was perfect. The upstairs has an amazing kitchen and a peek a Boo view of the bay. We also have 2 dogs, the short walk to a little beach was perfect for them. Thank u guys so much

A pleasant stay

We enjoyed our annual Christmas beach trip, this time on Dauphin Island. The property is an easy cycle to the Sea Lab & Fort Gaines riding east, and to the Lighthouse Bakery going west. No, not on the beach, but there's a lot more to Dauphin Island than just the beach. It was an enjoyable stay indeed.
