Lodge best for group stays

Would stay again if part of a group, but do not recommend for a single traveller, mainly for security concerns. It is made clear there is no proprietor on site, which made it feel uncomfortable as you don’t know who else might be around. On arrival the downstairs doors leading to garden was wide open, but there was no sign of anyone else inthe property, arriving back late in evening there were no lights left on so I had to make my way in the dark to find a light switch. Bedroom window seemed to be stuck shut, and net curtain was torn, general feeling of very tired furniture.

Booked a king size bed and a single. Turned up to three singles. No contact ockfrom staff when messaged. Room as cold. Heater was on full. Went to bed in a s single dressed plus socks. Woke up at 6m with a headache as it was so cold. Not happy at all.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. We needed access late at night and then needed to leave early in the morning. It was clean and comfortable. Receiving a text from the owner was great as we then knew we had a contact if necessary.

No staff to greet us we had to call someone because couldnt enter lodge n was given a key safe code which was on wall by door the room had two single beds put together only one cup i did have a email asking if we required a double or singles i replied saying a double on booking i did say just got married n when we checked the website the rooms were less than half the amount we paid n we paid £100 the only good thing about it was that it was quiet in the morning we woke to noise of building site at back of lodge n it was a sunday morning which was not what we expected

Ok place to stay, area is a bit run down

Booked as a last minute stay due to a change of job location. The contact from the owner was good and details left abou checking in were sent by text. Even though the accommodation was ok I probably would not stay here again as I think the rooms are more suitable to a group of workers staying away together. Also I ended up getting the ferry to Portsmouth as there was not much on offer in Gosport

Best lodge accomodatiom

This was great accomodatiom. We stayed at other lodges with shared amenities. This one was different as we had our own ensuite . It was great not having to share a bathroom.

You are left to your own devices at this accommodation, having said that the lady who I spoke to after booking couldn't have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend, great value for money, clean & felt very safe!!

Quiet hotel, just a little difficult to access due to time due in as we were working nights, no one to check out to either on the evening

Extremely poor quality in all respects .

The outside was dark , i had to use my phone torch to get the keys from the key box , after calling the owner as there was no repponse to the door bell. The electric shower they had did not work and made alarmimg noises . Uncomfotable , lumpy bed ....

New Gosport B&B

Normally used for large groups eg hen parties, the owners are now experimenting with renting individual rooms within the large wing of this former vicarage. Had the place to myself so had exclusive use of kitchen facilities. Perfect location for visit to family and friends in Gosport. Wasn't advertised on hotel.com specifically as B&B, but that's what it is. Reasonably priced for single traveller.
