Rundown Hotel

Upon arrival, we were told our room was a double smoking. We had reserved a king nonsmoking. After a bit of hesitation, the person at the desk gave us a king nonsmoking room. The rooms were small and could have been cleaner. There was dust on everything. The exterior was badly in need of repair as it looked deserted and greatly needed updating. Most of the rooms on our floor were empty even though we were told they had no vacancies. The breakfast was okay. Probably will never stay there again.

The experience was horrifying. Never again will I stay at another Quality Inn

close to airport and easy to find

Disappointed that pool was not available, security door did not work, bugs inside and out, and waffles like rubber in continental breakfast.

Bad location, bad condition

We left this hotel earlier than planned because of it's overall disrepair (dirty exterior, graffiti, abandoned building next door, trash in the planter beds) and because we were approached in the parking lot repeatedly by vagrants asking for money. The room itself was clean and the staff were nice but I was afraid to stay there by myself.

Worst hotel ever!

The rooms AC did not work, bugs flying in bathroom area and multiplied, non smoking area but smelled like smoke, outlets overloaded, room not clean, pool was not heated, very unsafe area (cops came in to arrest someone twice), all ice machines were broken, and the "hot" continental did not have a single item that was hot! There were signs on the trays that said "sorry we are out". I am pretty sure they were not even filled with any food. Game room was gross and everything was pretty much out of order and exercise equipment did not work. Need I say more??? This place really needs to be investigated.

Nice enough hotel, bad location.

The hotel was nice enough. Breakfast was alright and we loved the pool. Nothing was dirty. The only problem was the neighborhood. We only stayed two nights and we were approached by people asking for money twice and saw lots of police activity. Neither we nor our belongings were harmed...we were just a little nervous.

Ok Location - Not great condition

The hotel is near the highway which makes it easy to get to and it’s very close to Bowman Field (the small airport.) It’s also pretty close to the big airport. The surrounding area is ok, not great. The building is run down. There is a pool and free breakfast. Some of the hotel guests are a bit questionable and the police make a regular appearance to address illegal activities in the hotel rooms. I will not be booking it again.

Family visit

For the price, this hotel met or exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect for the different places I needed to be. I only used the room for someplace to sleep and the bed was very comfortable. One night, the neighbors were a bit restless, but this was no fault of the hotel. The furnishings are a bit old, but functional. I stay here anytime I am in Louisville.

Disappointing experience overall.

Walls are thin so you hear nearby talking, laughing, etc. Water in shower was so hard to get turned on, we thought we had no water at all when we first tried. Nothing was updated, chipped tub, dirt in exhaust fan in bathroom, side table by chair was tipped over when we arrived, when asked anything about how to get to any point in the area (observed with several guests besides ourselves), afternoon person at desk would just tell us/them to "look at the map". Would not book here again.

My Stay

I was gone most of the day so I only came to the room at night...It was fair I wouldn't stay there again...The location was great it's by a lot of restaurants, it just wasn't the cleanest..

Not good

Rooms were dirty, had to clean tub just to take shower, had to kick door just to open it. Outlets didn't work. Staff wasn't friendly. Some doors to rooms didn't even lock. Just over all very dirty hotel. Will never stay there again.

Last minute Trip

We needed a hotel in a pinch that was near to the convention center but didn't have the outrages prices of some of the bigger places. They had everything we needed and the indoor heated pool was a big plus in keeping the kids entertained. Hubby and I really enjoyed the early hour start to breakfast and got to enjoy each others company before the kids got up and the day really began. We will stay there again.

Outdated facility

This facility is an obsolete read (Former) Holiday Inn. Is in need of a remodel. The exterior concrete catwalks that give you access to you rooms is starting to show cracking under the carpet (This shows a dated facility) Also you must walk the catwalks back to the center and enter the building to exit to the ground floor. There is a general lack of cleanliness around the ice machines on the exterior of the building. Some of the room doors will not close by themselves and/or require effort to close them properly. Door jambs are not up to date and are missing face plates. We also encountered stink bugs in 2 of our rooms. Also most of the electrical outlets are severely overloaded and could cause a fire hazard. We noted that numerous outlets had 4 or more appliances plugged into them. This is no no in a commercial operation. One of the phones was not working and could not call out to room service. If this would still be a Holiday Inn or Mariott or other higher-class unit....it would be demolished and rebuilt. The only good thing about this facility was the free breakfast....it was hot and very presentable.

Beds

Definitely not to my standard of cleanliness. Most important was the beds felt as if i would be better off sleeping on a tile floor. No comfort what so ever. The curtains had a sheer on one half and a room darkening on the other half. All night with street lights in your eyes. Rediculous. Used to be a holiday inn i wish it still was. No way will i use them again.

ok but could be better. people outside were loud late at night and early in morning. the hostess at the continental breakfast did the best she could in making the guest comfortable. CB wasn't the best like other hotels/motels.

It's Not Really the Hotel's Fault

I booked this hotel for a youth leadership conference & took 4 teenage girls. I was glad the hotel had a suite available (with two bathrooms), at a reasonable price. I guess you get what you pay for.... The service was good - no complaints there. The breakfast was typical. The room was outdated & a little run down, but clean. My biggest complaint was the neighborhood & other guests - which is not the hotel's fault. There were some other people that were swimming in the pool at the same time my girls were swimming. They were loud, rude & used horrible language. They were asked to "keep it quiet," but they didn't. For other reasons, I didn't even feel comfortable leaving my car where I had initially parked because I was worried someone may slash my tires. But, again, I don't blame the hotel for this. I blame the neighborhood it is located in. Needless to say, we won't be staying there again. Sorry, Quality Inn! It's really not your fault.

Worst Hotel Ever!

We arrived a the hotel late one night. When we went to our rooms one room had not been cleaned bed in made etc ... Went to front desk and staff proceeded to tell us it was they had no other rooms that 5 people would have to stay in one room. I said no, it was ther mistake they needed to make good on it. They said there was no mistake I said what your telling me the dirty room was no mistake !!??? He proceeded to tell me we could stay in another room but would have to move in the morning I said No it was there issue and needed to fix it now. He argued more and I did not budge he found us two clean rooms. Then when we went to the "clean" room it smelled like someone had vomited in there and did not clean it good. We luckily had a can of Lysol with us and sprayed the rooms down and left the doors open for a little bit to air them out. It was not a good experience at all. The WORST hotel I have ever been in. !!!! Needs major attention to cleaning and other up keep issues. I thought being a Quality Inn it would be ok sadly mistaken!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE.

After seeing the facility we moved to another hotel for rest of our stay. Carpets were stained, burn holes in bedspreads and curtains, walls were falling apart, moldings and base falling off of walls, rude staff and overall horrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Never again!!

This hotel was not at all what I expected by looking at the pictures on the website for the specific hotel. The outside was very run down. The room was clean but definitely well worn. The door did not lock. Breakfast lady was rude to my children who showed up to eat at 9:50. Breakfast was stated as from 7 till 10 am. I would not ever stay at this hotel/ chain again.

Nice rooms, Horrible breakfast

The rooms in the hotel are clean and comfortable even though the outside looks like a dump. But the breakfast is just horrible. Considering the cost per night and location in lousiville they need to atleast provide decent breakfast to justify the room cost.
