“Lovely hotel in a lovely location however the room we stayed in seemed like it hadn’t been used for a while, cobwebs in the bathroom and the balcony where the hot tub sat needed a very good clean with spiders nests in the ceiling. On arrival the hot tub wasn’t working properly however they arranged for maintenance to come quickly to sort. Overall a nice stay but could do with utilising clever storage and having a fridge in the room would feel like a benefit. Beautiful breakfast but not 100%...

“Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. “We stayed in the Lodge 1, it was aesthetically really beautiful! The only downside is you can hear EVERYTHING from next door, which wasn’t too bad for us because it was just TV but I can imagine if you had a rowdy next door neighbour in the lodge you’d be extremely disappointed. The Spa was beautiful and intimate it is a great escape for a couple… However, two elements of the shower didn’t work, the hydropool could use a bit of maintenance and a little bit of atmospheric music would be great...
