“We enjoyed a quiet weekend in the Lake District in the Castle Inn conveniently located near Keswick. The hotel is comfortable and in the late stage of being upgraded; this was happening in the background and did not impact nor disturb. I did feel the staff were a bit thin on the ground; however, they could not have been more friendly or helpful, they really made us feel welcome. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.”

“We've just returned from a three night stay at the Lake View Guest House and miss it already. Stuart and Catherine were warm hosts and attentive to our every need, from a cup of tea and cake at check in, to the homemade gin and biscuits in the room, to the fantastic breakfast. They also provided great advice on where to eat and what to do in the surrounding area.The view from the room was spectacular. We can't wait to return! ”

“Bed was too small and extremely hard. I was greeted by a wonderful helpful lady called Maya and thanks to her the stay was a bit more pleasant, but hotel is very runned down and noisy.”

“A spacious, cosy, well equipped property in a beautiful area. The electric hob was a bit of a trial but we managed it in the end. We visited Munster Castle and the birds of prey exhibitions were fantastic. We did some lovely walks in the area, one of which was direct from the house. We would definitely use this property again as it was ideal for a large group family stay.”
