“Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly making for a relaxing stay. Evening meal was was also very nice ( I had the pie both nights, highly recommended) wine a bit on pricy side but I enjoyed it all the same!”

“Location - The hotel is situated in a great location. Very much walking distance to everything central. Room - Very basic, the bed and pillows were not comfortable for me at all, but my partner didn’t mind them. It was clean. However, under the bed could have done to have been hoovered, I only noticed it because I dropped something under there though. Building - Being an old building, everything is very creaky. “Nice room at the top of the property, family run business with Mum, Dad, son and daughter all working in the establishment.. the son and daughter are a credit to their parents, so friendly and chatty. Breakfast was great and lots of choice, we were very full after it. Great location next to Derwent water and within walking distance of the town centre. Will definitely be booking to stay there again sometime.”
