bonito departamento, malísimo acceso y ubicación
el Departamento es hermoso, pero no me volvería a hospedar, el acceso es terriblemente mal, te pierdes porqué está dentro del Hotel Bahía Príncipe y es grandísimo, los guardias no te saben dar las indicaciones porqué ni ellos saben las ubicaciones bien, tuve que pedir auxilio vial para que me llevaran a recoger mi llave del departamento y hasta el departamento .. si no rentas un auto, en verdad es imposible moverte dentro del Hotel y llegar al departamento, los restaurantes del Hotel quedan lejísimos de la ubicación del departamento, debes de llevar tu propia comida antes de ingresar .. en lo personal, tuve una malísima experiencia, no volvería a hospedarme, en lo que respecta al Departamento, es tal cual en las fotos, es lindisimo, pero lo que les ha faltado es explicar muy bien cómo llegar y de lo que te enfrentarás estando ahí.

Departamentos muy cómodos, limpios, pero lejos de un poblado grande. Indispensable llegar en auto para poder trasladarse a diferentes lugares. Inclusive a comprar alimentos para poder utilizar la cocineta.

No era lo que esperaba
No era un hotel sino una zona habitacional, muy bonita pero nada de lo que esperaba. Es una zona muy nueva y esta llena de animales, me recibieron 2 arañas una de ellas enorme, dos alacranes, la alberca con muchas arañitas y dos garrapatas en el jacuzzi.

Gracias por sus comentarios, es una forma de encontrar puntos de mejora. Debemos revisar nuestra descripción del complejo, ya que como usted bien menciona, es un área que no está del lado del mar. Estamos ubicados en el lado del golf, rodeados de bellísima vegetación, diversas especias que forman parte del ecosistema selvático y que aunque hay familias que buscan una estancia de lujo pero en contacto con la naturaleza, hay otras que lo evitan en lo posible. Tomaremos sus comentarios y revisaremos los detalles. Agradezco de nueva cuenta su review.

Un hermoso departamento, pero con detalles
Nos alojamos en los departamentos Quetzal (pertenecientes a la parte Residencial de Bahía Principe). El departamento era realmente un lujo, aunque tiene un par de detalle que habría que mejorar (por ej. el jacuzzi exterior no tenia agua caliente, no habia donde tirar la basura en la cocina y algunos otros detalles). Mas alla de esos puntos, es muy recomendable alojarse en la parte Residencial (muchísimo mejor a simple vista que las habitaciones de los hoteles).

CUANDO LLEGAMOS NO NOS ATENDIERON COMO EN OTROS HOTELES, EL PERSONAL ES MUY APÁTICO CON LOS MEXICANOS , A LOS EXTRANJEROS YA CASI LES PONEN SU ALFOMBRA. EL DIA QUE LLEGAMOS ERAN LAS 13:30 HRS. Y EL QUE NOS ATENDIO NOS HIZO ESPERAR HASTA LAS 15:15 HR PARA ENTREGARNOS LA HABITACION, COMO MEDIA HORA DESPUES DE NOSOTROS LLEGARON UNOS EXTRANJEROS Y LOS LLEVARON INMEDIATAMENTE A SU HABITACION. NO NOS GUSTO QUE NO SE PERMITA COMPRAR ALIMENTOS O BEBIDAS EN LOS RESTAURANTES Y OFREZCAN EL PASS DAY QUE ESTA CARISIMO, DE NADA SIRVE QUE HAYAN PANTALLAS PLANAS SI NO SE PUEDE VER NADA, LA SRITA A LA QUE SE LO REPORTAMOS NOS DIJO QUE TENIAMOS QUE METER NUESTRA CUENTA DE NETFLIX PARA PODER VER LA PROGRAMACION,LA PISCINA ESTABA TODA SUCIA EL AGUA PORQUE SE NOTABA QUE NO TENIAN PUESTO LOS FILTROS, IGUAL SAQUE UN PEDAZO DE VIDRIO . Muy lejos de todo! Sin auto ahí no puedes ni comprar papel higiénico que no te ponen en quetZal, y los carros no pasan casi nunca y demoran siempre o tienes que suplicar para que pasen por quetZal!

Rude staff, I rented a hotel price arbnb place and I thought I was renting a hotel room. No service, noone came to take out trash and noone came to bring an extra roll of toilet paper. When asked if we can acess the pools - hard NO … when asked why- Well since last year we changed our policy but we haven’t changed the information online, and we need DAILY PASS OF $60-$100 depending which pool. Very misleading. When asked about hot water - we will fixed and they never did.

The a/c didn’t work, there was no hot water, so we had to take cold showers. Also to tram in the community never came to that area unless you asked to be dropped off. The bed was a little hard as well. The property was very nice, just basic amenities like A/C and hot water should always be available. I would not stay at the Queztal properly again.

If you decide to get this apartment make sure you rent a vehicle everything is far and the restaurant available closes at 6:30pm. Very quite peaceful make sure to get with the property manager for you access code and keys. While we stayed there we saw 2 other groups struggling with the issues we had. taxi are very pricy,we didn't get a code until the following day for 1 apt we rented3 .The thing i loved was it was very private noone is allowed in without a code no exceptions you are safe.

Nossa chegada foi decepcionante, porque tudo que estava escrito nos comentários e na descrição do hotel foi diferente. Não podíamos usar a estrutura dos Hoteis Bahia Principe Tulum e Akumal, só fechando o Daypass, pagamos 36 dolares por adulto e 18 dolares para cças até 12 anos das 9:00 as 18:00 com tudo incluso (alimentação e bebidas). O transfer que havia de carrinho de golf não existia mais, o local é lindo porém enorme, se vc estiver sem carro não tem como se locomover. Nós tivemos problemas com locação do carro e ficamos sem carro por dois dias. Tudo muito difícil, cada pessoa dava uma informação diferente.

The amenities and the outdoor property are great. Gym is nice and pool is beautiful, both of which you have to drive or shuttle to if you stay in the Quetzal area of the property- not a problem in my book. I'm giving this property 3 stars because 1. There were no check-in instructions provided and this property has at least 3 entrances. It took me about 45 min to find where I was supposed to check in. 2. When I finally got into the condo, it smelled like a mix of stale cigarette smoke and mold. The smell did not subside throughout the entire weekend, luckily I only slept there because I had a lot of wedding activities off site. 3. There was barely any hot water in the condo. It ran out before I could even shave my legs in the shower. Which ultimately rendors the back porch jacuzzi tub useless - #1 reason I chose this place was the tub - unless you boil multiple pots of water and take a soak midday when the temperature was hot. Yes- I did both of these things after my morning workout, and the water was still lukewarm at best. 4. There was a lot of mold in the shower and the floors felt like they had not been swept in months. I had to wear shoes throughout the entire condo. When mentioned the cleanness and smell to the person when I was checking out, all he said was "ok". The neighborhood and facilities were great which is the only reason I would possibly ever give this place another chance, although I suspect there are other resorts around who offer the same amenities.

Dear Anonymus. Thank you for staying with us and for your extremely helpful feedback. We regret to know that the cleaning level in the bathroom shower was not according to our Bahía Principe Standards. We will make an internal follow to determine the reasons the standard was not followed properly so we will make sure this situation will not happen in the future. Our Maintenance department has been instructed to check the temperature fluctuation in the shower and the tub to solve this problem for future guests. We do have a pre-arrival procedure to contact our guests to give indications on how to get to our check-in area and rest assured we will find out why it was not activated with you. Please accept our sincere apologies for the not so positive aspects of your stay with us. We hope to welcome you back in a near future. The management team.

Clean comfortable apartment
Overall experience was good however you are away from the main shuttle area to the beach so be prepared to walk. There are shuttles to the apartments but quicker to walk than wait for a shuttle. If you are planing on making your own meals come prepared as there are no grocery stores anywhere close even if you had a vehicle. Quiet area for relaxing.

Many issues,Bahia Principe is horrible nightmare !
Bahia blames the guest for not knowing that they should not expect transportation to the condo, toilet paper or shampoo. We did not stay at Quetzal. We were placed at the Terrazzo building and were told we would enjoy the newer building. The condo smelled like a dead animal in the bathroom which turned out to be a moldy washing machine. No one could figure this out much less solve the issue until I figured it out myself and ran the machine after several days of trying to get them to get them to address this.Some upgrade- it was awful! This luxury resort was inhospitable and deaf to our complaints and needs. Bahia blamed us and the "owner" for not informing us of the way things were. We were freezing cold and unable to obtain a blanket, We had maid service some days but they would not replace toilet paper or shampoo when we ran out on day three. The toilet broke. We had our 9 year old with us and it was a challenge to meet her basic needs. DO NOT STAY HERE
